The post is left by an undersecretary of Health, the head of Conapred and that of the commission for the care of victims

In less than 24 hours, the resignations of three government officials chaired by Andrés Manuel López Obrador were confirmed: an undersecretary of Health, the head of the anti-discrimination body, and the head of the victim care commission.

The first resignation to be confirmed was that of the undersecretary for the Integration and Development of the Health Sector System, Asa ChristinaLaurell.

Laurell, despite the news being revealed this Thursday, reportedly resigned on the 15th for health reasons, although his discrepancies with AMLO were very public.

Above all, there was talk of differences with Dr. Hugo López-Gatell, in charge of managing the coronavirus pandemic, and with the Secretary of Health, Jorge Alcocer.

The president dispelled doubts this Friday, confirming in his morning conference that the official left her post due to discrepancies with Alcocer.

“AMLO” I had differences and, despite being a very outstanding woman, I gave confidence or gave greater confidence to the Secretary of Health, Jorge Alcocer, who is an honest and upright person.

After Laurell’s resignation, López Obrador confirmed, from Cuernavaca, on his tour of the central state of Morelos, that the head of the National Council to Prevent Discrimination (Conapred), Mónica Maccise, had also resigned

Maccise, who had been in office for only seven months, was accused by the President of “having no affinity” with his government 4T for inviting comedian Chumel Torres, classist and racist, to a forum on discrimination.

However, on November 20, when she assumed the leadership of Conapred, she herself declared that her “life and personal project” were “fully aligned with the project of the Fourth Transformation”, according to local media.

“AMLO” “I tell you that my proposal is that this position will be held by an indigenous woman, enough simulation,” revealed the president, convinced that “only those who have felt humiliation know what should be done.”

López Obrador has started a crusade against several organizations that “consume part of his budget”, in order to centralize their powers to undertake their austerity plan.

The third resignation, also confirmed this Friday by the president, is that of Mara Gómez, until today director of the Executive Commission for Attention to Victims (CEAV).

Gómez denounced at the beginning of the month that the Government cut 75% of the budget of the organization it managed and that this was going to make its activity impossible, a snip widely denied by López Obrador.

This Thursday, the local press assured that he was going to resign because at CEAV they did not have the resources even to pay for the phone, while the President assured that it was the relatives of the victims who were asking for her resignation.

“AMLO” We are not going to fail the people and we want people committed to the Fourth Transformation, honest people. There is no longer room for simulators, “he said
