78 kidnappers captured in the state of Morelos

Investigations by the Grupo Fusión-UECS (Specialized Units to Combat Kidnapping), dependent on the Attorney General’s Office of the State of Morelos, allowed the release of three people kidnapped in the Puente de Ixtla municipality on Tuesday, October 20.

Thus, a tactical deployment of Grupo Fusión-UECS was implemented: made up of elements of the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) SEIDO-Morelos Delegation, the State Public Security Commission (CES), and the Criminal Investigation Police ( PIC).

The Morelos Prosecutor’s Office reported through its Twitter account that the capture of 78 alleged kidnappers was recorded, among whom are 43 men, 14 women, and 21 minors , who due to their age are classified as unimpeachable and were handed over to the Attorney for the Protection of Girls, Boys, Adolescents and the Family of the DIF Morelos System.

In addition to achieving the release of the victims, the agents seized three buses, five cell phones, and a container with coins of different denominations .

Intelligence information collected by Excelsior indicated that the group of people from Guerrero operated in favor of a criminal organization, which paid up to 1,500 pesos to the subjects for extorting drivers and blocking the passage of various booths and collection centers: they forced them to deliver the cash payment of a specified amount called a fee .

Of the total number of detainees, 46 were originally from the state of Guerrero, 21 from Morelos, one person from the state of Oaxaca, and one from the state of Veracruz .

The Attorney General’s Office of the State of Morelos reported that they continue to reinforce the actions to combat impunity through investigations carried out by regional and specialized prosecutors. Their objective is to guarantee access to the administration of justice to the victims in the state.

Actions that violate the security and peace of families in Morelos, said the FGE, are addressed through operational coordination between federal and state authorities integrated in the Coordination Table for the Construction of Peace.
