Volaris increases flight rates due to a change in baggage policies

Volaris has stood out among all Mexican airlines due to its affordable prices, good promotions and variety of tourist destinations that it offers. However, this week began with bad news for travelers who choose to take their airline.

Through social networks, a controversy began around the company that has been virtualized, after it made changes to its luggage policy, so there is an increase in the fare of flights depending on your luggage. Now you will find these three options: basic fly, classic fly, and fly plus.

Basic Fly will only allow you to board the plane with a personal object of 35 x 45 x 20 cm; Basic Fly includes a personal object of 35 x 45 x 20, a hand luggage of 55 x 40 x 25 checked baggage not exceeding 25 kg; The last option is Vuela Plus, which allows the user to carry up a personal object of 34 x 45 x 20 cm, two extra hand luggage no larger than 55 x 40 x 35 cm and a documented suitcase no larger than 25 kg of 158 cm.

This new baggage policy has to limit the users who usually fly by this airline, since now the cheapest price only allows you a 35 x 45 cm x 20 cm bag, which can be placed under the front seat.

If you bought your ticket a few months ago, don’t worry, this policy only applies to flights that have been purchased after January 27, 2020.
