Two people were injured by gunfire outside the “Sayulita” and “Bambis” bars, located on Álvaro Obregón Street in the heart of Cuautla’s historic center.
The incident was immediately reported to 911. Police officers and paramedics arrived at the scene. Paramedics found a man with multiple gunshot wounds and transported him to a hospital. His identity is currently unknown, and he is reported to be in serious condition.
Another person was injured in the attack but was taken to the hospital by private means before emergency services arrived.
The assailant(s) fled the scene after committing the crime. The area was cordoned off by police to preserve the crime scene, and the Eastern Region Prosecutor’s Office was notified.
Criminal investigation agents and crime scene experts arrived at the scene to begin their work and open an investigation into the incident. No arrests have been reported.
