The activist Ana Luisa Garduño Juárez was murdered in Temixco, Morelos , on Thursday, January 27th; So far no one has been arrested.

The authorities reported that the investigation folder was opened for femicide.

Meanwhile, Governor Cuauhtémoc Blanco lamented the “cowardly” murder of the activist and assured that they are working to bring those responsible to justice.

For his part, the Undersecretary of the Interior, Alejandro Encinas , urged the Morelos Prosecutor’s Office to investigate and clarify the murder quickly and not rule out Garduño Juárez’s work as a defender as a line of investigation.
